Family Beach Portraits! 

MINI SESSIONS: Scavenger hunts, mermaid tails, and water images are not included during mini-sessions.

30 (thirty) minute session $155.00 for single households only (parents and children). Mini Sessions focus on targeted images, poses and groupings discussed with the photographer at the beginning of your session. These sessions are ideal for single households with children mature enough to cooperate and follow directions quickly. All images are provided to client via online proofing gallery within one-business day of every session/event. Mini-sessions are scheduled at one location per sunrise/sunset per day in order to accommodate other clients that may be scheduled before or after your mini session time. During peak-season (May through September) Destin Photo offers up-to six separate mini sessions per day (three 30-min blocks the first 90min of sunrise and three 30-min blocks the last 90min of sunset). Clients are encouraged to arrive at least fifteen minutes early in order to find parking and meet with your photographer at your pavilion/boardwalk. Late arrivals will be accepted until the next scheduled mini-session's start time begins and/or lighting permits. Destin Photo cannot be held liable for missed images, poses, time, etc. due to client's late arrival. 

FULL SESSIONS:

90 (ninety) minute session $225.00 for the first initial household (parents/children) and $75.00 for each additional household. (For example, the first household includes: mom, dad, & children. A Second house is considered to be a second couple, or parents with children of their own, and so on. Destin Photo does not charge any additional fees for grandparents to participate in sessions with their families, unless they still have minor children living with them.)

 

Full sessions include the entire sunrise/sunset of the day, directed by the photographer on-location, and allow us to take our time without feeling rushed, especially if there are small children or lots of households to capture. Your session begins with a posed image of everyone in your family/group and from there, the photographer will break down each household/dynamic and capture their own posed groupings until all the individual shots have been captured. The formal posing goes super quick and is captured twice with two backdrops, sea-oats and shoreline. (Sea-Oats are not available at all locations. If your heart is set on dunes with lush sea-oats, please let us know before the date/time of your session so your location's dune line is free of buildings and other eye-sores.) After the formal poses are captured, your photographer will arrange everyone down by the shoreline (with your toes in the water) and you'll walk hand-in-hand together into the sunlight with each grouping arranged slightly different including parents dancing as the waves kiss their feet, children chasing seagulls, cousins racing along the shoreline, and all the love and laughter that happens along the way! While your session is directed from start to finish, you're always welcome to show your photographer some poses and image board ideas to be recreated. Just let us know and we'll make sure your experience is everything you wanted and more! 

 

Session fees includes the cost of the photographer coming out to meet, engage and capture photographs on location with professional camera(s) and equipment. All sessions captured by Destin Photo include an online proofing gallery published within 24 business hours of every completed session. Your online gallery may be shared electronically with friends and family anywhere in the world. Images in the proofing gallery are tastefully watermarked with the studio logo. Once you've had time to review all the images captured, a LIVE Gallery Review via Zoom will be scheduled and the best images identified for your final gallery. During this video call, editing expectations are demonstrated along with advanced editing options (upon request). Turn around time on your final gallery (edited images) depends on the number of images selected from your proofing gallery, the number of session edits in queue at the time your image list is submitted, and advanced editing needed or requested. A projected date will be discussed with you at the time your selection list is received or during our Gallery Review Zoom call. The faster we get your image list, the quicker we can get your final gallery published. RUSH service is available for an additional fee, if this is something you need - please let us know right away.

 

Destin Photo offers a wide range of printing sizes and beautiful products to choose from in your final online gallery (powered by Smugmug.com). Clients are encouraged to submit all print orders online using secure payment processing and step-by-step notifications on order status, shipping, and delivery details. Packages that include prints/products with the capture fee will be given a code to apply during the online check-out process valued toward the item(s) included by Destin Photo. Additional items and shipping/handling are always the financial responsibility of the customer.     

 

High resolution downloads with Studio Print Release is sold separately from session/coverage fees. High Resolution downloads are available for $5+tax/each (20 file minimum) or may be purchased as a Collection for a discounted price. The High-Resolution Download with Studio Print Release requires a $100.00+tax minimum order (per session) or a minimum of twenty images at $5.00+tax/each with each additional image $5.00+tax/each.

(COLLECTION PRICING)

Many of Destin Photo's clients don't want to pick and choose moments from their session, they want all the best edited images! (10-15% of the total captured.) Once you've selected sixty or more images, it become much more cost effective to purchase them as a Collection (a flat fee) based on the number of households/upgrades in your session or amount of coverage time at your wedding/special event. 

 

Collections start at $275+tax (+$100/per additional household/upgrade).

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR SESSION
Destin Photo's Beach Sessions run 30-90minutes, based on selection at the time of booking, the flow/vibe and how enthusiastic everyone is during your session. During your session you can expect approximately 40% of your session will be posed to ensure we capture the "portrait" that everyone is after in a family beach portrait - for example with a multi-household session, we start with a posing of EVERYONE participating in this session; your photographer/s always capture an image of mom and dad, another posing will be any children, siblings and individuals,  The posing goes very fast – as we only have "so much time" (especially when working with children) that we will be able to keep their attention. **Destin Photo specializes in large groups and children of all ages. We do not put a posing cap on our sessions and shoot until we are confident we've captured everything that you're looking for and vice versa. The other 60% of our sessions are candid. This is when we capture some of the best images from every beach portrait (at least we think so). We chase seagulls, build sandcastles, and even go on a scavenger hunt along the beach picking up beautiful seashells and starfish as all the excitement and fun through is captured through our lens. Destin Photo provides beautiful props for the children to play with, including an antique wooden sailboat, seashells and even mermaid tails (mermaid tails do require a session upgrade). 

 

My job as your photographer is not only to create high-quality photographs with beautiful composition and dynamic exposure; to arrange natural poses and create moments of opportunity and let your personalities take flight in a very relaxed environment to ensure everyone has a lot of fun from start to finish. There's certainly never any pressure to perform while Destin Photo is behind the camera and all of our clients tend to say, "Wow! That was so easy and a lot of fun too!" (Even the most camera shy/reluctant member of your session.)

POST PRODUCTION EDITING:
On average, our clients choose 10-15% of their proofing gallery images for to be edited. 

When we edit your session, we review your selected images to ensure only the best images captured are in your final gallery. Your selected images are then color corrected if needed, and touched up on a case by case basis. Unlike some studios who charge for basic retouching, we remove random people in the background, color correction, clean horizon lines, etc. Advanced editing is also available for a small fee, as this increases production time; such as blemishes, scraped knees, missing teeth/braces, tan-lines, sun burns, skylines can be retouched on a case-by-case basis. Please let us know what your expectations are during our post production zoom consultation to ensure your images are exactly how you envisioned them. 

 

From there, you and your family can place orders in your online gallery. Destin Photo offers everything under the sun in regards to photographic products - all of the highest quality and standards in the printing/photographic industry. With packages starting at $89.99 and we also provide a LIFETIME warranty on all prints and products produced by the studio! Your next generation will never need to worry about losing your treasured memories. Destin Photo's Lifetime Warranty covers the replacement cost of any prints or products regardless of what happened! Grad Session Upgrade fee is $75 can be added to any full session scheduled by the same family/group captured in tandem with the initial session at the same location. (For example: Upgrade your family beach portrait by including a set of unique senior portraits of your child/ren.) This upgrade fee includes (1)one outfit change (from the initial session's attire), and approximately 20% additional time dedicated to your senior/graduate. All images captured during this upgrade will be included with the initial session's online proofing gallery (available within 24-hours of session capture), and basic editing to all selected images. Online galleries may be shared electronically with friends and family anywhere in the world. Images in the proofing gallery are tastefully watermarked with the studio logo, unless the studio print release is purchased. Grad's Vacay session fee is $225 and includes (90)ninety minutes, up-to (2) two locations and up-to (3)three outfit changes, the cost of the photographer coming out to meet on location, pose, direct and capture high resolution images with professional camera and equipment, a personal online proofing gallery published within 24 business hours, Gallery Review Zoom call to select your favorite images, and basic studio editing to your selected images. Online galleries may be shared electronically with friends and family anywhere in the world. The session fee is $425 and includes (3)three hours in the comfort of your home. This allows our clients to have everything they need on-hand while tending to, changing, and feeding your new baby. We have found that photographing newborns in their home keeps mommy and baby safe from being exposed to any unnecessary germs and also keeps mommy from having to pack up the whole house just to come to us! We have also found that providing such a large session time allows for feedings, changings, and time to drift off into sleep, all without feeling rushed or any anxiety. Lastly, this session includes (25)twenty-five beautiful announcement cards with envelopes so you can share the news and beauty of your new baby with your friends and family. *Additional announcement cards may be purchased separately.

Newborn Session in Studio!

The session fee is $275 and includes (2)two hours in our Destin studio's sterile, warm, and cozy newborn set complete with posers, wraps, props, various backdrops and more. Destin Photo's Newborn set is a separate area all by itself and was built with safety, beauty, and comfort in mind to keep you and your little one content between poses and creative changes. The only things you need to bring are the items you'd have in your diaper bag for an afternoon away from home with your baby and any special items you'd like baby to have/wear in their portraits. This session includes (25)twenty-five beautiful announcement cards with envelopes so you can share the news and beauty of your new baby with your friends and family. *Additional announcement cards may be purchased separately.

Your photographer will meet with the bride and groom (separately of course) as their day begins and follow them around throughout the day all the way up until they say, “I do...” and celebrate their union into the night.

" Trash the Dress" ($225.00) Want for your wedding dress to last FOREVER? Or sit in a box in your closet? Let's have fun after your wedding ceremony with a 'trash the dress' session. (Ok, not really. We're just going to get it wet and sandy!) 90min on (beach) location where you and your spouse lay on the shoreline and let the waves roll over your legs as you crawl, climb, and kiss all over each other. (Don't worry! While the final images from these sessions look steamy and maybe inappropriate; everything is rated G!) Get ready to laugh and love your partner like never before! "PAINT WAR" ($275.00) Groom's Choice! Turn his wedding attire and your wedding dress into a works of art. Not only is this session incredibly fun but many of our clients that have participated have framed their dresses as a keepsakes that still hang on their homes. Get ready to laugh and love your partner like never before! These sessions get you wet and sandy, so be sure to bring a towel for each of you and a change of clothes (your rental car will thank you). Only non-toxic, water-based, tempered paint is used during these sessions and colors are selected carefully to avoid mixed colors turning brown. Environmentally safe, will not harm wildlife but will bond permanently to fibrous materials such as satin, cotton, and polyester. Our clients understand that this is a permanent outcome. Paints will not come out in cleaning.. But hey you're only going to wear it once, right?
